We are pleased to announce the SACCJ South African Shebeen Braai to Celebrate our 15th Anniversary, on September 8, 2023. We have secured the most prestigious private club venue in Tokyo on the day the Rugby World Cup kicks off in France and reigning champions South Africa begins to defend the title.

With South Africa’s National Heritage Day on September 24, this unique evening of music, mouthwatering cuisine and warm hospitality pays homage to South Africa’s once-illicit shebeen speakeasies.

A spectacular array of local dishes includes braai classics such as lamb and apricot skewers, pork and fennel sausages and spicy chorizo, grilled by Sizwe Mgxanga, South African Embassy chef at the American Bar & Grill and Terrace (weather permitting).

Prisca Molotsi will be serenading the night away with jazz and blues tunes. She has sung for presidents and at the Nagoya Hilton and the Mulberry Hotel.
